Located in the heart of the Welsh capital, visitors to The National Museum Cardiff can explore exhibits on Welsh natural history, archaeology, and geology, as well as peruse the museum’s collection of fine art, featuring works by renowned Welsh artists such as Richard Wilson and Gwen John. With plenty of interactive exhibits and guided tours available, the National Museum Cardiff is an educational and enriching place to spend a day out.
Be part of the story of Wales with a visit to the national museums across Wales and learn about local industry, the treasures found, the stories behind everyday life and much more! Entry to the museums are FREE, with thanks to funding from the Welsh Government.
OPENING TIMES
Tuesday to Sunday - 10am–5pm (Galleries close at 4.45pm)
Closed Mondays but open Bank Holiday Mondays and will open until 9pm on the first Thursday each month.
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
